      Granted he did use JB weld to hold it together. I guess if you chop the top off and add an extension, and weld it together properly, then it might work.. but maybe it wouldn't. Seems to me a better alternative would be to build an extension tank to put on top of the current one, to achieve the same result.

      The tank is part of the chainsaw body so replacing the tank means sourcing a new body and moving everything over. Certainly a possiblity if other attempts fail.
